Darts 2024

Mental that you can compare a lad that weighs more than his age to djokovic, littler is being hyped to the max, yes he's good, but has a long long way to go before he even gets looked at for "greatness"

I just find in any sport there’s certain individuals who when they look like they’re on the ropes and down and out they find a way to push through and win, I see that potentially in Littler if only it’s Darts.

A little bit of a scare like that won’t do Littler any harm, going into the serious end of the competition.

I wonder if subconsciously, Humphries going out, made him think he was on easy street to the final?

I also sometimes think all his talk of 9 darters is a little bit unintentionally disrespectful? But it was noticeable when he missed that one in the final set, there was none of the usual acting up. He was only focussed on seeing out the leg.

It’s going to take a very good player to stop him, that’s for sure.

Spot on. Crazy that any darts player would be looked upon in the same way as the likes of Redgrave, Hoy, Kenny, Thompson, Trott, Whitbread etc. It's the modern era, I guess; hyperbole rules. Littler is clearly very good at what he does; it takes skill to consistently nail doubles and trebles. But you can't compare him to the likes of Djokovic, or Sampras, or Federer etc etc. I doubt even he would claim to be at that level.
