Spot on. Crazy that any darts player would be looked upon in the same way as the likes of Redgrave, Hoy, Kenny, Thompson, Trott, Whitbread etc. It's the modern era, I guess; hyperbole rules. Littler is clearly very good at what he does; it takes skill to consistently nail doubles and trebles. But you can't compare him to the likes of Djokovic, or Sampras, or Federer etc etc. I doubt even he would claim to be at that level.
Hyperbole is taking the comparison out of context - I mentioned elite sportsman have that mental edge of sticking in a match when it’s not going there way and finding an extra gear to win, littler has shows signs and proven on occasion to do this similar to Djokovic - that doesn’t mean he’s at the same level and has achieved anything like what Djokivic and many others has - it just means he has the potential too.
