Darts World Championship

What do I know? What a great match! Shocking finishing, but a great match none the less!!

Jackpot up next.

Glad I didn't put my bets on tonight.

Anyway, worth a watch just for the walk on girls. :)

Love the arrers!!!

I think the dark horses are Newton and Chisnall, who's had a cracking year.

My fave is The Bull, Terry Jenkins, but he's gone off the boil the last couple of years.

Special mention to Wayne Mardle........ now he's commentating, this'll be the longest he's ever spent at the Ally Pally (I know he had a good run a couple of years ago!!)

For drama, I don't think you can beat the darts, quality players going to pieces when they both approach "the madhouse" double one!!!

Strongbowholic (I think it was you) what's up with Gary Anderson?? Why won't his head be right mate - something happened??

I'm sure I read his brother or brother in law died recently and he's not been the same since.

EDIT

Found it; from The Sun, so refuse to post a link, but here's some text - September this year:

DARTS ace Gary Anderson has been hiding a secret torment — the death of his brother.
The 40-year-old star was told tragic Stuart had passed away suddenly — then overcame his agony to produce the performance of his career days later.
Dad-of-two Stuart, 35, who had battled a heroin addiction, died in hospital after suffering a heart attack.
But while awaiting his funeral, Eyemouth ace Gary — known as The Flying Scotsman — trounced former world finalist Mark Dudbridge 6-0 in their Pro Tour clash, scoring the highest three-dart average in Professional Darts Corporation history.

Affected the poor fella in a big. Obviously not more than his brother (sorry, bad taste that really).

Gonna be the biggest comeback since Lazarus if Jackpot can pull this off!! Lewis was 1/9!!!

Go on the Undertaker.

-- Thu Dec 15, 2011 11:40 pm --

How on earth can he throw like that, bent flipping double he is!!

Wow, thats heavy stuff.

Not as bad as a death, but Taylor lost the plot for a while when his marriage split up.

Back on thread - great performance so far by Heydon

Write the champ off at your peril. Long way to go, but each 1000 mile journey starts with a single step.

Oh fuck, need to leave the Bow alone. I'm turning into Sid Waddell!
