He wastes a lot of their spending budget on a player that looks less of a natural finisher than Alvarez does, let alone Haaland.

The Scousers are half way through replacing their front 3.

Mane is off, replaced by Diaz. Upgrade? Not as of yet.

Firmino is finished, probably replaced by Nunez. Upgrade? Probably not, especially when defending from the front.

Salah is off next summer. Replaced by Jota. Upgrade? Categoric no.

Nkunku isn’t an out and out number 9, could say similar for Martinez who plays best with a partner (Lukaku, Dzeko). Some also say that Haaland is best on the counter and thrives on the open spaces of the Bundesliga.
