I've never seen him play so won't argue whether he's a good player - as genuinely no idea.

But his record in the past season or so is pretty impressive.

Obviously I hope he'll be a massive flop.
I don’t see a fox in the box, or great hold up play or pace etc.

He‘s decent, but can’t see him being an improvement on any of their front 3.

Second highest speed recorded in champions league last season. Bayern's Davies was first.

Good dribbling ability and a threat in the air.

A definite improvement over Mane down the middle.

The speed surprises me. I’ve never seen him burn past defenders. Was it over 3 yards?

He is a decent all round player, I just don’t see him being £100m good.

When you say better than Mane do you mean “no **** outside of 13 year olds who play FIFA had ever heard of him up until last week” better?

There was an analysis a few months ago of his play, and they said he was in the bottom 1% of strikers in Europe in terms of ball retention.

His goals stats are impressive, but then Benfica have had players hit over 30 goals in six of the last ten seasons.

He's good except for hold up play where Mane used to drop deep and be the link up man/false 9 and slip in passes to Salah. I guess we'll see if they play differently now.

He's got bags of potential, pace, strength and decent finishing - but he also looks rough and ungainly. Probably a good signing for Liverpool but also a risk

Not played with him on Fifa 22 so can't comment. :)

I was aware of him the season Benfica signed him, as it was a big fee for segunda division player I had a look at him then.

Mane was shite down the middle compared to out wide. A big reason why the dippers failed to score in 3 finals.

Liverpool were much better when Firmino came off the bench against Madrid.

Last season yes, with the caveat that it's the Portuguese top tier. The previous season not so much, the season before that was in the La Liga 2nd tier...

It looks like a huge expensive gamble to me.

I think that was primarily because they went with 4 up top and Madrid had decided to hold onto what they had, rather than Firmino making much of a difference himself.
