David Beckham gets knighted (after being snubbed for years)! apparently

Imagine turning up for your Knighthood wearing a badly measured suit (state of that upper arm) supposedly cobbled together by your trouty wife in the back bedroom, whilst choosing to dye your whiskers darker than they were in the first place.

Arise! And fuck off while you are at it.
 
I don't have a problem with this as hes always given his all to England etc and i still remember celebrating his goal v Greece. He is 100% Rag and grew up supporting them.

He can now do one.

I met him once a few years ago at a football awards do. His missus was a mute sour faced woman but he came across as quite normal. Quietly spoken. Very polite. Shook hands with anyone who came up to him, posed for selfies. Even laughed when I called him a twat for getting sent off v Argentina. The amount of people who wanted a little piece of him that night, celebs and members of the public was frightening. But he did it all with some grace.
He's also the best crosser of a ball I've even seen.

I actually don't mind Beckham either, but a better crosser than De Bruyne? That's a neddy no no.

Deserves it, happy for him.
I was at UP when he returned from the World Cup after that red card, it was an eye opener for me just how vitriolic and sad many of my fellow fan base was ,the abuse was off the scale - even my old man who’d been going hammers since 60’s was embarrassed by it all.
Glad he bounced back from all that.
 
I think the Beckhams probably make a lot of demands upon their children in that they are used as extras to create this image of the loving/tight knit family unit. In return they get 'paid' handsomely. There appears to be no individuality in the children. Perhaps that's why Brooklyn bailed out as he got tired of just toeing the family line and found another benefactor.
I think the same applies to Harry in that he found the Royal Family stifling and again found a way out much to the annoyance of the firm

And don't underestimate the damage his talent-vacuum of a wife, and the other four, did to the culture of this land.
