I hope he finds a way back in to refereeing. If the FA insists on punishing him, there must also be a path to redemption, and becoming a referee again. This might be down the pyramid, but it would allow him to work his way to wherever his ability warranted.

Remember Bobby Madley? He was sacked after someone sent a video to his employers of him verbally abusing a disabled person. Madley continued his referring in other countries. After two years away he rejoined the English pyramid, and after a further two years (in 2022) he was promoted back to the PL.

Although there are differences between their misdemeanours, there surely must be hope for Coote, if he doesn't lose interest, and has confidence in his abilities.
