He surely does look like the player to take over from lucio,he is like a mix of lucio and pepe with his speed and great footballing skills,the only thing i don't like too much is how much he seems to like to wonder forward in the premier league you do and you will get punished a lot more.

Christ, 3 million euro is the sticking point? Can't believe we will turn them down for that. We need an anchor for central defence very badly, can't win without a world class defence.

Its more a statement from the club that we will do things more on our terms.. Remember it was only 12 months ago we managed to get ourselves stung for £17 million for RSC, not to mention £16m and £24 million for Toure and Lescott respectively.

Its just to show that we are more than willing to move onto other targets if they don't want to play, as its unlikely any other club in the world will offer close to what we already have (alledgely) put on the table

Definitely as he is not worth more than 25m pounds in reality so why should we pay more than the real price,no other clubs seem to be interested and benfica are in debt and should be looking to make some money as they need to buy some new players to compete with porto who have bough well this year.
