Deep-lying playmakers/registas... has any Champions League winning club of modern times not had one? Xavi at Barca, Alonso at Liverpool, Scholes at United, Pirlo at Milan... possibly Mourinho's Inter might be an exception but I can't remember many of them. It's a beautiful role and one of the hardest to find a quality player for. Pizarro has been an underappreciated player of this role for quite some years now and brings us something we haven't really had.
