David Pizarro

Pizarro delivers that beautiful 2nd to last pass players like Xavi deliver. He is the kind of player we should be looking to start at our home fixtures whilst most teams look to pack the bus. His vision is limitless. His style of play should be admirable for our younger players. You don't have to stepover one thousand times to succeed.

He's always been a valuable player. If he was 22 rather than 32 teams like Barca and Real would be after him. You can't teach his talent, only experience it.
The pass out for Kolarov for Dzeko's goal, first time without looking, beautiful.

What's wrong with Owen now? Injured again?
Hargreaves gets a lot of niggly muscle strains that stop him reaching full fitness, it's because he was out for so long - Michael Johnson has had similar problems.

Bellamy is turning 33 in July. He still looks pretty useful. And for a midfielder pace is of lesser importance.

In case you hadn't noticed... this is a DAVID PIZARRO thread.

Apologies... just re-read your post. Hadn't grasped what you were implying at first glance.

I mentioned in the transfer thread about pizzaro being just what we needed, him having the vision and world class passing skills we were lacking, but I was immediately shot down by someone who said Barry already has all them skills.

*sigh*

It's early where I'm at. I'm looking at the post in question and evidently I'm missing the point. Someone mind explaining it to me?

Been immensely impressed with him in his limited time, he's exactly the kind of midfielder we've been lacking, very creative with the ball from a deeper position than Silva plays. He's passed to width, run into the available spaces, and found that incisive pass that we often seem to lack to get us moving forward quickly. Barry can put in a great shift, but this is the type of player we need to identify to replace him as he ages. I'd even be inclined to play him in some of our tougher draws right now, I feel he's had that much of an effect on our squad when he's been in there.
