So I doubt Merlin or the club think his ankle is being specifically targeted or they'd be taking steps to stop it.

ultimately we have to win the title season after season by a comfortable margin if we want our players to be recognised, we've underachieved so most of their good stuff gets swept under the carpet for the Brits at Spurs or title winners at Chelsea.
