Liechtenstein pop. 35 thousand. Spain would be expected to make mince meat of this minnow. Why are people making such a big deal . Just curious.

It's always nice to see our players performing well, regardless of the circumstances. You not appreciating that is your business but I don't know why you'd come on a thread dedicated to one of ours to try and diminish what was a great game.
I suppose some people are just wired that way.

Why you keep going on about our players never said anything bad about our players. My point is a country like Spain beating such a small country is not a big deal.

What kind of performance would you expect from David against such weak opponents just put it into perspective. Most of the players play for Vaduz.??

I was more interested in seeing him come through unscathed. He did, and put in a great performance to continue his great start to the season. The opposition is immaterial - I just like to see him doing well. Now I could understand if I was having this argument on ragcafe but never thought I'd be having it on here.

A similar sort of performance that he gave against Belgium - remember them? They're one of the top countries in the FIFA rankings - only a few days ago.

It's Merlin's performance we're drooling over, not the result.

And the fact he came through uninjured, unlike last season, when he was sidelined for several weeks following a horrible tackle by the same opposition.
