This wouldn't surprise me at all as he's always said he wants to retire at Las Palmas.

Can't believe it'd mean only 2 more seasons of Merlin though...

Hopefully its 3 more seasons so he gets a decade before going there!

What's your impression of what David has done, and how he has looked, during pre-season, and what do you think we can expect from him this season?

I expect nothing less than magic from him. Especially knowing that he was our player of the year previous season. So its not like he is washed up. Also for player so intelligent and talented decline will be a lot slower than someone who relies on speed and athleticism. I love me some David, with hair please only

I'd be interested to see if Pep played him deeper in some matches as some posters have alluded to. Maybe against one of the lower teams in the league.

I've not seen any opponent stop Silva fairly yet, so I'm not holding out much hope for the Brighton lad who said he was going to do just this on Saturday... Any player can be taken out by a dirty bastard but fairly they wont stop the magic man...! Aside from Colin the the King, he's City's greatest player ever...!

he was not great in first half though. Neither him or KDB who had awful pass completion in first 45. Aguero too. KDB was much better ins 2nd half and Silva and Aguero done enough on the end with that goal to pass the test. But it was extremely hard match to judge anything, it's hard to be creative with the way Brighton played. I lost a stone watching that game.

I had to laugh at the number of posters on the match thread who wanted either Silva or Aguero subbed at HT. Another assist for the list.
There's an awful lot of Bluemoon posters who seemingly suffer with amnesia.

Patience, patience, patience. They have years of experience at opening up packed PL defences but it doesn't always happen immediately.

To be fair, it won't do you any harm losing a bit of weight ;)
