Well said. My nephew is big into his social media and has told me about two rumours. I hope neither are right, and I've told him to just ignore the shower on Twatter until we hear from the club.

Exactly. Why would thousands of people know what is going on. Usually something personal like this obviously is, is shared with your boss who then sorts it for you time wise and if asked to keep quiet about it, does so. I wouldn't dream of sharing personal information about my colleagues if they came to me with a personal matter. Why would this be any different?

I can't imagine any friend/colleague or anyone in the know thinking "oh I must share this with twitter or with some so called football expert"

Speculation is ridiculous in these circumstances.

I was brought up on Colin Bell, and the impression he made on me might have become a little distorted over the decades, but I always thought that we couldn't lose with Bell playing. But David Silva has brought me more joy as a spectator. When he doesn't start my heart sinks to my ankles.
 
We don’t want to have to keep locking this thread, but there is far too much speculative nonsense being posted so it’s easier to lock if for the time being rather than having to keep deleting posts. If it helps allay any fears, then I can say stuff posted on social media regarding Silva’s health is categorically untrue. People should respect his privacy though, ffs.

Brilliant, been very worried.

Think he's the best we ever had, him, Ferna and KdB is as good as any midfield in the world today and too much for most to handle. Shame he isnt 25, but he might be able to compete at an extremely high level to his mid to late 30s like Pirlo and Xavi

Twitter is full of attention seeking sicko's. The only pieces I saw that was worthwhile reading was the one that was in a Spanish paper requesting that his privacy be respected. Bus load of blues straight round to house of whoever disrespects Dave's wishes by releasing anything before he and his family have decided to.
