Brilliant today. For a 15 minute window around his goal he played a different game to every else. Only bettered by his namesake today, who was incredibly even better

It makes me laugh when ever there is a positive article about city or a city player the red trolls are on it straight away. It just highlights their bitterness & shows themselves up. Any neutral observer who has no allegiance to either us or the scum can see who the true bitters are but the red bitter trolls still try & pin the bitter label on us.

He held his groin once I noticed but then seemed to run freely afterwards, hope it's nothing.

Yes, as player of his immense quality and experience, and being the captain as well, I would have expected more from David.

One of his poorest performances,he didnt grab the game and often went missing.It really was a poor show by our midfield in that first half.

We did just fine last season when he was captain a lot,you don't have to be aggressive or dominent to be the captain

TBH the way we played last season we could have gotten by without a captain. This season we are showing performance levels drop well below that standard and a skipper is needed to lead the team - IMO merlin isn't the one

Average game is irrelevant. Kompany has been average for years and is the best captain in the league.

Injured for years maybe but far from average. He did have a bad game at Wolves though so after the way some have slated Delph on here for one bad game then I suppose our best ever centre half could be judged as average for years!

David had a poor game by his standards. Nothing wrong with his captaincy though. He is vocal enough on the pitch and (normally) leads by example. If his overall performance has dipped temporarily I think we can all understand that given the emotional energy the guy must have expended last season.
