He hasn't been in his best form recently. He's probably in his worst patch since the end of the 2015-16 season when I thought that ankle injury had seen him off. But he's been far from horrendous. His impact on games is lessening and I wouldn't start him on Sunday but he's still a crucial metronome in the midfield.
 
Some of his play on Wednesday night was superb. He also did quite a bit of tidying up of loose stuff. The lad's a great player. Odd mistake here and there but he was possibly the best player on the pitch in the first half.
 
I think his mother's Japanese. But I suppose it's not impossible that his granddad was Korean.
