He will be here next season. I still think there’s plenty more to come from him after a summer off. Would not be surprised at all if he starts our first game next season.
I hope you're rightI really don't think he would deny the fans a proper goodbye, anyway i don't believe he would just duck out like this
He is not an attention seeker. If there were ever a star who'd want to leave quietly, Dave is that guy.I really don't think he would deny the fans a proper goodbye, anyway i don't believe he would just duck out like this
something to give him an extra push every time he steps foot at the EtihadWell in my opinion we should have a flag made celebrating his time here and everything he has achieved, it should hang permanently at the Etihad in the same place for every home game
He was decent again. Not exceptional. Took a yellow for the team. Doesn't have the energy for the press anymore. Most talented player ever at City to date(Sterling, Bernado and Kev may all equal him by the time they are done). But his time as starter will end with this season.Sorry but he needs to take a back seat next Season. Its a shame to see our once great el mago playing like a shadow of his former self.
This is not really out of the blue, I know Pep still plays him because of his ball control but you can see that he can't play consistently enough at a high level and that age is clearly getting to him.Sorry but he needs to take a back seat next Season. He has another season then he is going homeYeah, I think the rumours of him heading to Japan makes sense - the maestro is in the twilight of his career now, take your victory lap
I think you're working on old information there. He has another season then he is going home
To put into perspective how much he's had to play this season because of KDB's absence - If David plays another 77 minutes in the 2 remaining games, this will be the most he's played in a season since 2011/12 - the season he turned 25.
So it's very hard to tell if his poor form of late has been age or fatigue, or a mixture of both.
IMO performances like the derby show he can still be one of the best players on the pitch in huge games for us, and that makes me think fatigue is a bigger factor. It was only September/October when people were saying he was in some of the best form of his career.
So lets see what he's like in Preseason. Even Pep & Merlin probably don't know where he's at right now and how much a summer of rest will refresh him.
The Japanese season runs from February to December, so a January transfer would probably be the best of both worlds - He can rest up over the summer, see what level he is at, take part in a 10th season at City, and then in January, if he's really fallen away, he could leave then.
To be fair his only decent performance (say above 6/10 ) this year was in the 2nd half against the rags, that's not a great achievement now.mate, stop with the common sense - it hurts people's brains
Still rumors nothing concrete. I agree with Karen I think he would stay another year. He want another chance at the CL trophy. That's the only one missing from his impressive resume.I think you're working on old information there.
