David Silva - 2019/20 Performances

Not really disrespectful, he’s no longer at the top of his, or our game. The time for him to leave will be about spot on.

There are questions over Mendy but TBF, having watched the Sky coverage of game now, I feel Mendy had a better game than I gave him credit for at the ground. Pep keeps saying Mendy needs lots of games to get back to his best and we will have to wait to see if he is right. I am sure Mendy is capable of more.

We need more than Zin and Angelino but I wouldn't bet against Zin becoming a top LB.

Silva's departure won't be a moment too soon.

So the disrespectful comment was from a completely different thread. How silly of me.

Are you allowed to say this?

You are right imo.

Merlin's wand is waning.

An inexorable decline is underway.

Dave needs to leave the Premier League while he is still one of its outstanding players.

He needs to leave City before his rightful place is on the bench; he may not achieve that.
He is leaving,do you want him to leave in jan?

I see the wankers are piling in, the same as they did to Hart, Zaba and VK (before he proved them wrong with his final flourish).

Just like the vermin who turned on Giggs and Scholes, which we took the piss out of them for.

Silva for me is probably our greatest player ever, close with a few others though, but if I remember pep said he was going to use him sparingly this season his experience in big games is vital, but maybe he shouldn’t be playing every game for us,play one rest one or some mins in the next game,I’d rest him Tuesday or bring him on 65-70 min mark keep him fresh when it gets to the nitty gritty end of the season as in hopefully quarter finals and onwards..

Player doesn’t play to the standard he once did, or that the team currently requires in aspiring to get back the summit of the table and is suggested that his game is on the decline and other bodies should stand in place - but certain posters just slant it as disrespectful.

He could have won us 10 leagues in 10 heads singlehandedly, but when he’s not performing, he’s not up to standard. And it’s not a newly dawned problem, it’s been in question since the latter part of the centurion season.

Karen if you read other comments I've made, you would know that I was not dissing Silva so give it a rest. I'm someone who is still delighted that a player I wanted City to sign before he was even linked with us has gone on to become such a huge success for us; that doesn't often happen although the other example is Sergio.

Well if you post he can't leave soon enough you are going to get a reaction aren't you, enjoy the time he has left

I didn't say he can't leave soon enough; you have misinterpreted what I said. I was referring to him leaving at the end of the season, which I think is the right time and therefore won't be a moment too soon in my view.

And I don't want him to leave in January. Indeed it's not a case of me wanting him to leave but as I said in other posts, I think it is appropriate for him to go once he is no longer a first 11 regular. And one of the big reasons for that is the respect I have for him.

Is that clear enough for you?

We are going around in circles
Peace out

A club legend but he is finished as a starter in this league because he doesnt have the legs or pace to influence anymore.

Waste of a selection and should come off the bench to affect the game when needed.

Foden should start ahead of him.

Maybe now that the league is gone Pep can shift him to a substitute role where he can actually have an impact rather than exposing him week after week as an old man who can’t run anymore.

Wouldn’t have known he was even playing today. He’s not having the same impact as he once did. Time to bring in foden I think - he offers the energy that silva doesn’t
