Just glad I got to witness one season (17/18) where Silva wasn’t scared to shoot and he scored some beauties as well, thinking Stoke away.
It’s the one area of his game in general that he’s lacked. Only thing that separated him from Iniesta for me.

In fairness, his scoring record for both club and country is far better than Iniesta's.

I won’t post the clip out of respect to David, but man, that chance he “missed” looks so much worse on the second viewing. I can’t believe he didn’t shoot that.

Fair enough mate, I’ve not done my research. Those big goals against Holland and Chelsea obviously skewed my view on his scoring abilities.

Course it was, he bottled the shit and put the pressure on a team mate instead. There is no chance anyone else was in a better place to shoot than he was.
