I think it's a joke when people say he is too lightweight. Most play makers are slightly built...fabregas, swp etc...its what gives them balance and speed. Silva has the attribute of being intellligent and being able to find space away from markers...his first touch is equisite, notice he is already looking ahead as he recieves the ball and his body position takes him away from the nearest marker as he recieves the ball....he is my new god, i love him,,,,,,he is going to be stunning for us as ive said from day one...........it's not like he wasn't heavily marked in the spanish league...they have some bruisers too...not as many but they're not all fairies in laliga by any means...in the champs league he came up against some physical sides but simply out footballed them.....so to those who feared he's too lightweight.....not a chance....tonight showed he is pure class.........................oozing footballing intelligence....we are lucky to have him....looking forward to him destroying the scum twice...................
 
Like i said when he's fit he's gonna be our creative spark, tonight he was outstanding,

people said he's lightweight, tonight he was knockin people off the ball, the guy is world class, for me he is always a guranteed starter, tonight he gave us something we didn't have for either sunderland or blackburn.

I really can't wait to see what he's like when he's settled, if you thought tonight was impressive, you wanna see him at his best, tonight he played to half of his potential.

Unless the tactics call for more defending (away to tough, moderately tough opposition), I'm thinking we should drop one of our DM's or even Milner in favor of Silva.

We need to start scoring goals and creating more real chances or else we'll continue to get pipped. David Silva can help unlock defenses.
 
Lets face it, if a player who is a regular for the world champions can't make it in our side, then there is no hope for 99.99% of footballers. Doesn't leave us many other places to go when a Spanish international isn't deemed good enough for our team.

At times City fans beggar belief the fact they are even questioning the guy after 1 and a half games !
 
I like how he always positions himself ahead of the ball. He compliments Tevez really well in that respect. Tevez drops deep to collect it, whereas Silva looks to run forward and then receive it. Could work well, as if a centre back follows Tevez, Silva will dart into the space. He's a very clever player. I really hope he starts v Wigan. He'll only get used to the faster tempo of the Premier League if he actually plays in it.
 
Silva must first accept mentally that referees in EPL are idiots and leave him kicked and pushed left and right . this is his main problem, but is not really his fault.
