David Silva leaves City after 10 years

Don’t have the words to do him justice, not only on the pitch but off the pitch the man is a giant. Already have a tear in my eye thinking of VK ‘s departure and his game in September , so saying adios to this man will be even more emotional.

where do you start with this fella.
"class" is word so often over used in football today, this lad though oozes it, he oozes it on the field of play, in the dressing room and in his daily life. no hissy fits, no front page headlines. no stropps for a move, not even for more dosh. a model professional in every way. we all see these players as gods, heroes, and someone to take us away from the weekly grind as we wonder at their splendour. yes paid handsomely but in our eyes we only see the player. David is one of those players who would play the game for a tenner a week such is his love for the game and his humble view of life. he has his family , his beautiful baby boy, he's content. i wish him well on his onward journey, he'll go home and play without the glare of the premier league, wont get the same wages but he wont give a rats arse, he'll just be happy. he deserves it.

the coming season is my 54th watching City, is he the best player i have seen? just a bit, i've seen them all but this argument isn't even close.

Thank you David Silva.

Great post mate, sums up exactly how I feel.

100% agree. My first game was in the mid sixties and no one could hold a candle to Merlin.

Would love his last game to be in Istanbul.
