I am sure I am in this thread somewhere but it's worth saying again. I think this could be the big one. A wonderful player, his club side going backwards, Barca have Pedro or Iniesta maybe Robhino to come; Chelsea have Malouda, Jose seems to be keen on De Maria and we will blow the Rags and the Dippers out of the water in a bidding war. I really want this Transfer to come off.

What happens if he says no to us? People just think we can get anyone because we can offer big wages but players like Silva dont want money, they want success and stability. If he could hed stay in Spain but ive a feeling that Valencia will force him out, that leaves us, rags, Inter and Juve in the race. 2 of them can offer good wages and CL football and 2 cant. Id say if they are the 4 clubs that put an offer to him then i feel wed lose out. I hope we can pull this off but just because the likes of Real and Barca arent in the running doesnt mean hes coming here. The rags are 1 of the biggest teams in Europe and so are Inter and Juve so we will just have to wait and see

Well I used calculator on that Skybet, so... highest chances we got on signing Milner, if we bet 15 pounds then we win only 21 pounds... Silva for 15 pounds is 65 pounds, alot =)

well said .....some people are getting way ahead of themselves and its talk like thiswhich will get us labelled as arrogant and we will become even more of a media target (and a target for opposition fans)..they dont like the fact that we are challenging the status qou and wil have a dig at us whereever possible...lets not give them fuel for the fire
