Er, yes?

That's how football works, you agree a fee with a club. We have not had an opportunity to speak with the player.

You need to read back what you are writing, before you push the send button.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but wasn't it also you who claimed to be bessie mates with Fabian Delph?

You insisted my post that City were in for him was bullshit.
Where did i insist it was bullshit that we were in for him ?
Fabian Delph ? Wrong person.

I would be amazed if City still hadn't managed to speak with a player a full week after agreeing a fee with his club. Doesn't exactly show commitment from the player if he can't be arsed to get in touch with us and speak despite us agreeing a fee. Can only assume the timing on your infomation is incorrect.

He's away with spain which makes thing a little different from a normal transfer

so basically even though we have agreed a fee, he'll probably say no anyway

Not necessarily I should imagine. I'd expect him and his agent to sit down and discuss the offer, where he stands with Valencia and the predicament / position that Valencia are in and then it's up to his agent whether he advises him this is a good move and that he should make it or that he should tell us to piss off and hold out for another high-profile Champions League club to come in for him or not. I'd suggest / assume that he'd listen to what we put on the table regardless of his final answer though. He has nothing to lose really does he?

Tolmie it seems to me you are suggesting a fee is agreed yet we haven't had contact with his agent and if we have had contact with his agent there is certainly no agreement. If this is the case how can you vouch for Freestyler claiming "all that is left is for him to sign on the dotted line".

Chaz...I've not vouched for Freestyler saying in terms of Silva or a dotted line.

All I attempted to do was back up his claims that Cook was not meeting Valencia a particular week.

Schalke has every right to form his own opinions as well, but that info where Cook was, it don't get any better.

Apologies in terms of the mistaken identity.

Forget what happened with Barry last year, though.

You don't rock up at the front gates of a World Cup training camp, the favourites in fact, and demand access to speak with a player.

That's why I stress, the info I have differs. We have only been in contact with Valencia.

Possibly the agent, but I don't know this.

Got to exit now, cheers.

OMG.how do ppl know that players have VERY LITTLE to do with their own transfer bar saying yes or no.They have these things called AGENTS.... the agents knows exactly what deal the player wants no matter what club their in discussion with. the agent then gets the best deal for his player...the player is then presented with the deal and either says yes or no.....

all silva will have to do is gives us the thums up or thums down when his agent tells him what weve offered.not as if we need to sit down with silva and talk wages...he may want to talk to roberto and that can be done in a phone call.remember hughes saying he didnt meet adebayor but spoke to him on the fone for an hour before he eventually signed
