More than anything he must want to stay in spain because that is the way they are at the end of the day and when you have real madrid after you then you can understand his point of view.

Also the premier league is a very physical league and i am sure that players like torres and fabregas must have told him about the tackles and the way of playing here and i am not sure he would be looking to play against the likes of stoke, bolton, sunderland and blackburn.

Spanish players are not the most courageous for me and if they can go to a league less physical then they are always bound to there.

I can see him joining rafa in milan because at least he would have a manager who will trust him a lot more and give more of a chance to succeed as he is spanish like him.

good post buddy...I have always thought that too...The premiership is a very tough physical place thats why I think most of our players (England team)
are not that technically gifted, the same could be said for Germany too..

Silva has been at Valencia for almost his entire career and has established himself as one of Spain's top players. In 2009/2010, the 24-year-old scored nine goals and provided ten assists in 38 appearances for financially stricken Valencia. With six goals in 33 internationals, Silva is expected to star for Spain during the World Cup.

Valencia recently sold David Villa to Barcelona for £40million, but the cash-strapped club need to offload further stars and Silva is expected to fetch a price of at least £20million.

Although Manchester City are apparently able to offer Silva a bigger salary than Chelsea, Silva is more interested in signing for Chelsea, who can offer him Champions League football next season.

Silva's agent, Amadeo Rengel said, "The option of Chelsea is the most interesting in terms of the sporting project."

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to add top names to his squad, which would show the ambition of the club, despite the failure to secure Champions League football last season.

Meanwhile, Valencia president Manuel Llorente has refused to rule out a move for Silva to any club, saying candidly, "We have received calls about Silva but no concrete offers.

"Right now nothing is out of the question because we need to safeguard the future of the club."

Looks like we have a chance here - if this is reliable - whilst we can't talk to Silva for a few weeks we should sort the deal with Valencia in the next couple of weeks.

VALLEY CONRAD Valencia know that Real Madrid will not perform unless radical change in planning a bid for David Silva. The interest of the club by the canary Florentino Perez has been back and forth. The arrival of Jose Mourinho has broken plans Jorge Valdano and Real Madrid has officially communicated to the Mestalla club that at the request of the Portuguese coach left the race for Silva. The final decision Mourinho took last Friday. Until that day, Real Madrid kept in quarantine, though, his interest in the Spanish international.
Valencia is now opening a new vista in the Silva case. Today, the Mestalla club has not submitted a formal offer any club. Only Manchester City has conveyed its interest in the canary, but the envoys who were on Wednesday at the offices of Valencia had no powers to make an offer in writing. Just sent the English club owners will bid for Silva firm, and the response was that Valencia will study any offer for midfielder arrives.

One thing is the desire and a necessity. Valencia would not want to cross the canary, although the economic situation forces them to say the least listen to offers and do not rule out a sale. Unai Emery knows and plans for next season and non-Silva. Even the mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, openly talks about the sale of Silva and where there's smoke ... But, I must confess, Valencia not going to put a link to the canary or going to auction in Europe. What the Club simply can not do is close down and not listen to any entity that wants to have in their ranks Silva.

With the slam that gave the canary Florentino Perez, the only Spanish track that remains is that of Barcelona. For now, the entity is involved in Barca elections and the priority among all candidates is Cesc Fabregas. Barcelona Nobody has ever sent to Valencia Silva who has interest, it logically and also Villa Mata. That said, at the offices of Valencia assume that the only offers that may come come from England.

Football looks to South Africa and now the market is so stands as little money in the coffers of the clubs. Representatives of Silva, Amadeo Rengel and Julio Llorente, I have called representatives of Manchester City and Chelsea. The former also have called for Valencia, not the whole of Abramovich. The Valencia today knows nothing of Chelsea.
While waiting for that offer from Manchester City, if Silva is parked, pending events, which will be very marked by the path that makes the player with Spain during the World Cup.

So i'm guessing from this its basically saying that were the only ones expected to bid. Real had a deal set up but pulled out on the request of mourinho and barca have so far shown no intrest. Sounds good but the fact still remains, we HAVE to convince Silva

Probobly just Valencia trying to push the price up.

If we get him for under £30 million it's the biggest bargain we'll ever get, if ronaldo was worth £80 million and Ibra was worth what Barca payed, then this guy could be worth £50 million.

Hasn't this happened before in the past? We have too many cooks. Everything we do at meetings has to be relayed back out to Abu Dhabi. Until the Sheikh responds, we can't do anything. We seem to have quite a bit of red tape in the way that we do things.
