All the better for not being as far-fetched as people might think.

I don't agree. Money talks and we have a plan B for all our transfer targets.

-- Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:18 pm --

And right on cue...

it's a bit hopeful.... off the record city have nixed the Dani Alves thing

Tevez was as good a signing as Yaya and it didn't really help us get any other players. you have to think of them as individuals, persuading anyone to come here comes down to that one player needs and wants.

and as for Robinho suddenly deciding he wants to be part of this, well, come on..

If you had a girl (Robinho) who was great to begin with (scored 18 goals last year), then used you (played dreadfully this season), dumped you (moved on loan to brazil) in your hour of need (city's battle for fourth), instantly bad mouthed you ('I want to finish my career at Santos' 'City is an odd club, no one is happy' 'I have problems with the manager').... you see her with some handsome guy (Louis Fabiano) on holiday (the World Cup), tell her you got a shiny new car... and suddenly she wants back in?

Let's show a bit of dignity here ;)

Poor analogy. A girl using you would be doing so on purpose... Robbie didnt have a poor(ish) season on purpose, his form dipped and Bellers was outstanding, so he didnt get back into the team.

Like many flair players Robbie needs confidence, and they need to be loved. Robbie looks great at the world cup, and given the right man management, he could be great in the Prem.
