When did Robinho say City were an "odd club"?

it was something like that, I'm sure I'm not imagining it. damned if I can find the link... to be fair the last bit ('I have problems with the manager) was his dad.

-- Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:55 pm --

Robbie looks great at the world cup, and given the right man management, he could be great in the Prem.

nah, it's a great analogy ;)

just because she looks great when you see her out and about, doesn't mean you could have a good relationship.

If managed correctly you could ;-)

Its an irrelevant analogy, if he's going to score 15-20 next season alongside Tevez and any other possible signings i do not see the problem, i for one want the club to win the league next season not mope around that we need to have dignity.. Survival of the fittest and all that.

If managed correctly you could ;-)

sometimes, the girl is just no good for you. everyone else can see it, but because you love her, you dismiss it. but after a few months apart, you kind of realise what they were on about. you have to look for beauty on the inside. you steel yourself, because you know you are likely to waiver when you see her, and she looks amazing.

right that's the end of that analogy.

Poor analogy. A girl using you would be doing so on purpose... Robbie didnt have a poor(ish) season on purpose, his form dipped and Bellers was outstanding, so he didnt get back into the team.

he did fuck off on purpose tho. he wanted guaranteed playing time, a nice holiday in brazil and a perfect preparation for the world cup. we didn't figure in that at all. he thought about number one, first and last, never mind the club that had 'rescued him' from his real nightmare, the club that protected him through some pretty horrible shit, the fans who had sung his name solidly for a whole season. when it came down to it, none of that was enough to keep him here. I reckon it's because he resents the Chelsea move not happening.

I can understand it a bit because he got it in the neck from all quarters in Brazil, and the football world, for joining us. we did our best for him but it wasn't enough to generate any real loyalty. it's so obvious that to me he fancies being a brazil legend above all else. maybe he even doubts that he could ever be the best player in this league. and that's always what he's about, being recognised as number one. his best chance of getting this recognition appears to be being the best player at the world cup. hardly playing any serious football, but staying fit and building his confidence, together with staying in Brazil for 4 months, gives him a really perfect preparation, an edge over the likes of Messi.

I know it's a David Silva thread, so this is a first and last regarding Robinho.

He isn't coming back, he doesn't want too, so lets get over him and move on to players wanting to play for our great club.

To anybody who says what about the article that says he's done a u turn, thats what it is, just paper talk. And heres an other one published 20/06/10 in the spanish media.

Robinho is between Barca and Santos
VERY CLEAR THAT YOU DO NOT WANT BACK TO MANCHESTER CITY
Brazilian striker wishes to continue his career in his country or the club. It does not provide alternative

Santos or Barca. Robinho is the choice for next season. The Brazilian striker, owned by Manchester City, is very clear about not wanting to return to the Premier League and that their future is to extend his loan at Santos or return to the Spanish League of the hands of FC Barcelona.

Robinho, currently in South Africa to defend the jersey Selecao ', ends his loan spell at Santos on 4th August and expects its agents, Evandro de Souza and Gilvan de Souza, her father get a further extension to continue in Brazil . There is an exciting challenge with the Saints: the Copa Libertadores.

However, if you do not tie a new assignment to Santos, the 'king of the bikes' kindly accept a transfer or a transfer to FC Barcelona, a club that since last winter market has been extremely interested in becoming their services.

"In the telephone contact we had with the director of new business the City, Luis Vicente, we were told is that there is no formal proposal in any way. Not to return or to continue in Brazil, "said the player's agent.

"But what is clear is that, if it depended on Robinho, he would stay one more season in the Saints, but we know that the final decision of the City, which owns the player," said Evandro de Souza.

VIA VIA ANOTHER

As for the possibility of continuing his career in the 'Old Continent', and specifically in the Nou Camp, the player's agent confirmed that "playing in the club has always been one of his goals, but we must work within the reality and it passes through the meeting we have with the City to know your project for Robinho. "

The British press, meanwhile, opened the door to the back of the player in yesterday's editions. Coach Roberto Mancini Italian, they said, would be willing to make a fresh start with Robinho, 26, and for which the Manchester City paid 32.5 million pounds (39 million euros) to Real Madrid in the summer 2008.

In any case, the player's future will begin to define the next week, when the agents of Robinho moving to England and know, firsthand, the intentions of the City for the striker.

Santos, moreover, is interested in the transfer of Keirrison Barça.

Ask yourself why?

I stand next to people in the corner of the Kippax (east stand) who did nothing but moan and boo him... it not on.

Same idiots who booed the boys off after the Spurs game.

If were ever going to push for championships / trophies people have got to be patient with the star players, becuase they will have off days.

I agree with you, it was very unfortunate, and didn't help.

but I have asked myself why, and the big answer keeps coming back:

Because he didn't care enough to stay, other things than this club were much more important to him.

He was the exact same way with RM.

I'm 100% behind you about booing. However, people need to realise that Robinho want be coming back especially if the rumours are correct that were after David Silva, you can bet the club is resigned to him not wanting to, or us not wanting him back.
