i believe this to be the case and they all so will never match the wage we will offer him even though that's not the be all and end all of convincing the player but it certainly puts a wedge between bidding clubs.

I actuallly think chelsea will go for ozil, he will be a cheaper option than silva with only having a year left on his contract.... and possibly hamsik although i believe he's been due to sign a new contract for a few weeks now.

no. Don't be naive though. Just cos we have the sheikh means little with red Rom. Someone with 7 billion can match someone with whatever the sheikh has. It's paper money and the same as us matching each other quid for quid. IMO Roman isn't spending much cash, just don't think he has the available liquidity to lavish on the football club, or wishes to for that matter - all the comments coming out of the club in recent times are about belt tightening and promoting academy players.
They would have kept Joe Cole if money was no object.
