Torres injury record worries me.

When you consider we'd have to break the British transfer to get him, I have my doubts................................
me too. The loss of form is turning from weeks to months and beyond. Why? Lack of fitness, or something more?

+1

He's only started 40 Premiership games though in the last two seasons.

Hasn't exactly looked 100% at this world cup either.

Shame because when he's fully fit, he's pretty much unstoppable.

Overplayed at liverpool out of desperation imo, kept coming back too early, the boys needs are good pre-season under his belt and he'll be firing again imo.

Hopefully your right.

He just seems to glide past players when at his best.

With Ade, Tevez, Bellamy and even Robinho there wouldn't be the need to rush any striker back if they get injured or suspended.

can't believe anyone would question torres, he is in the top 5 strikers in the world and if we have a chance to get him we must dive in

+1. Best striker in the world for me or at least the most effective in the prem. Getting Torres in would be the difference between mounting a title challenging to not mounting one for me

anyone speak spanish or know how to translate that?

Translated

In the absence of the Valencia and Manchester City official made the transfer of David Jimenez Silva, the father of the Canarian player, speaking on the spar of the Cadena SER to justify the decision of his son. "Valencia, this year, he said transferable and clearly needs the money. So we heard this offer, which is very good for us, and the decision is made. Now, the only thing the two clubs close the transfer, "said Fernando Jimenez, who delved into the obvious economic needs of the club che:" They told us we could talk to clubs and the best example is the City, which is what has made you more interested to take David. "

Smith's father was honest with the change in the negotiations: "I know that, as in Valencia is not anywhere, but there are compelling reasons to rule." He also had words for the situation of his son in South Africa: "For me, should play him and ten more. Has been a key so far."

Torres is class & the only reason that he's only played that amount of games over the past 2 years is because he kept getting rushed back into a toothless Liverpool side by a Rafa trying desperately to keep his job.

I'd buy him, let him have all the operations/treatment he needs, then get him fully fit before playing him (as an earlier poster said, we have Ade, Tevez & Robinho who can all do great jobs in his absence), unleash him & watch him go.

A guaranteed 25 goals a season striker if fully fit (to go with Ade & Tevez, who are also 25 goals a season strikers). We'd be unstoppable.

Villa is a better all round striker than Torres but we're not going to be getting him so Torres next on the list and has already shown that he can do it in the prem, outstanding in front of goal and him and Tevez would be a fantastic partnership
