Spot on. He's much more suited to the premierleague than Villa. He's stronger and quicker and better in the air whereas Villa is more of a crafty sort of player with a great touch and quick thinking. I'm not saying Villa wouldn't make it in the Prem but I'd rather have Torres here as he's proven. David Villa though is one of the best players in the world without doubt.

I'd say Villas is as quick if not quicker than Torres, he's also a better finish and better with the ball at his feet. Torres however is stronger and is better the air, both outstanding strikers and Torres is the younger of the two so still has a scope to improve by a fair bit

ITV were killing me with their commentary last night. Trying to figure out why Torres wasn't looking good like it was some mystery. The dude had surgery recently and is lacking match fitness.

Him, Villa and Drogba are the three best strikers in the world.

Messi is the best player overall. He has been immense this world cup and unfortunately hit the woodwork 5 or 6 times.

Really begining to get excited about the summer now. David Silva is absolute class and just what we need, a bit of flair. Hope he can adjust and receives a bit of protection when thugs like stoke decide to try and snap him in two. He can become a City hero, good player at the right age ready to enter his prime, bit like the Tevez signing last summer.

YaYa will be a beast for us, perfect for the premier league, he's got the lot, Barry will have to pull his finger out if he wants a spot in the team now and that can only bring out the best in him.

I can't see Torres coming, yet! If we can get him though we have to, if for no other reason than I can really give some stick to the plethora of Liverpool fans I work with who have continually belittled our glorious club and mocked the idea that Torres 'a Liverpool fan apparently' haha that always makes me laugh, he left Athletico for money and trophy opportunities and they were his club in his city and country. His record speaks for itself he will score goals, lots of them.

Couple of full backs and we're laughing, top 4 no worries, outside bet on a title push and contesting the cups. To think Andy Morrison was one of our best players just a few years back. Long live the Sheikhs! Thank you Abu Dhabi.

Villa is a better all round striker than Torres but we're not going to be getting him so Torres next on the list and has already shown that he can do it in the prem, outstanding in front of goal and him and Tevez would be a fantastic partnership

Villa might edge Torres out as a striker (personally I don't think he does, I just think Torres is looking rusty in this WC though he's still causing lots of problems), but I think with Torres' pace and power he's much more suited to the prem. We'll never know for sure cos it doesn't look like Villa will ever come to England but I'd take Torres over Villa in the prem evry day of the week.
