Can I just state, not having a pop at Freestyler's info.

His info may well be more up to date than I heard early last week.

apart from boateng do you know of any other definite's mate?????????

Appreciate the info, but we can offer clubs what they want, and agree terms with the clubs, but it's another matter to get the agreement of the player when they will have offers from the best teams in the world.

Thats why I would jump at the opportunity of signing Yaya Toure if everything is at face value i,e player is already in agreement - just club demanding a big fee. Just I say

Yes, because there isn't club have also said he hasn't signed for us. However what they didn't rule out was whether we would go back and offer more or that the club have no interest in signing him. As far as officlal site is concerned he hasn't signed for us until signs on dotted line. Sorry on the wrong thread, please move it admin if you want.

Will people stop saying "Tolmie mate, are there any other definite signings...." etc.

Whether he knows or not he's not going to tell you. Just wait and see.

I'm still confused about him saying we may not sign Boateng because its on the Official Website about him agreeing the deal??? Or maybe I misread it?

Nah - he was making a point about pre-contract agreements - that they don't necessarily mean a player has officially joined a club in the truest sense of it - officially Boateng won't join City until 1st of July, so he's actually still a Hamburg player - this is just confirmation of that a pre-contract agreement has been signed (although the fact that City have broadcast this particular agreement on the OS must mean they are sure it will become official on the 1 st of July).

I think he had received some grief about the whole use of the term 'done deal' as only being a proper, confirmed transfer of a players registration, and that this was reflected by its being confimrmed on the OS - the Boateng deal is clearly a 'done deal', although it is at this stage still only a pre-Contract agreement. Other pre-Contracts could therefore also be classed as 'done deals'.

I think.
