Maybe he's not "worth" 30mill if he were to sign for other teams, but lets not go down that road again, we all know diff rules apply to us, and we've just gotta live with it - until we break into the top 4 at least.

Yeah, thats where i remember him from most, playing wide for Newcastle, and being a million miles better than the other 10 players - he certainly terrorised our left side when the geordies came to Coms.
I know its become 'fashionable' for him to play CM - maybe he is just as good there, but i havent watched enough full games of him playing in that position to agree hes just as good there. If he does, then even better :)

Firstly thanks to all who have pmd me I can't answer them all due to time limits. All the names have been widely discussed on here except one. The one will upset a premier league manager very much if it happens.

Yeah but these are the same Villa fans who though that Ashley Young was worth £25m the season before. We're exactly the same. We do it with Michael Johnson despite him only playing a handful of games. fans just have a tendency to over rate players just because they play for them.

I'm not saying Milner isn't a good player, but he's nowhere near a £30m player. Whilst i know it's not my money, we've already been stupid in paying £24m for Lescott. Next summer we'll be talking about a £35m deal for the next fashionable England squad player.

Maybe we will have most of the England team one day...just like Braca will have the spanish one :)
