David Silva - official statement

I can't believe he could put in a performance like the other night with this worry on his mind, he really is a special person and I hope everything turns out right for him and his family, best wishes David from all City fans.
 
Thoughts with him wishing all the best and his little boy can strengthen with time to pull through.
 
Lots of kind comments from United fans for a nice guy who is respectful to everyone on and off the pitch. Hopefully, even "Jesse" leaves this one alone.
 
What a fantastic gesture from our manager and club - personal situations are more important than football.

Fingers crossed that the little one fights and grows healthy and strong and takes after his father in his personality and abilities.

Spanish Dave has shown immense courage and integrity even turning out for City, let alone playing with such commitment during this difficult period so far.....
Fair play also to the red caffers for their response........times like this and the MEN Arena horror just help us remember the really important stuff.....
 
I love Silva because he's the one guy who's never caused us one second of trouble. Just a unbelievable professional and talent. I sincerely hope his little lad gets strong very quickly. God bless.
