bernabia was the closest i've seen to silva in a blue shirt. incredible player, but we only got to see him towards the very end of his career. our dave hasn't even reached his prime yet. cannot wait for this season to start

Just got back, Silva was different class today.
The 7hr round trip was worth it just to see him.

I honestly thought today - if he can keep this form up for the next 12 months - which shouldn't be a problem, we are seeing it week in week out, he will be a massive possibility for the ballon d'or. This year's too soon I think, because he's just being noticed by the mainstream media, but 2012 could be his year.
Let's be honest, we all have great memories of Bernarbia and Berkovic, but they both have nowt on Dave. Bit sad it's taken people this long to catch on (even after last season for us when he was outstanding), could have told you he was this good after watching him for Valencia.
