Not sure if anything on these lines have been posted but i thought id post anyway.

Ive read a few threads of people saying this guy is a left winger. I beg to differ, he is a much more central attacking player, similar of that to stevie Ireland. Im not too sure many people were aware as they seem to be comparing him to an Adam Johnson sort of player which he is not. Silva is not that quick, but is very skillful and able to create something out of nothing. So personally i feel he is going to fit the bill of being behind the front men, being our new playmaker. Just thought i would post this to people who arent particularly sure what sort of player Silva is :)

Similar to Robinho in the postitions he can play left of a front three or in the hole hind a lone striker or front 2. I'm sure he can play on the right aswel actually

Yes he can, a very versatile and useful player. I can only seem him being behind the front man, as this was his role for Valencia, due to Mata on the left and Joaquin on the right. Very good and useful addition to our squad though.

He is a good skilled player, not much fast. His perfect position is on the left side, near to the strikers. His shoot is very nice too.

For me the bad thing of Silva is his mind in the game, he no effort to maximum, is too quiet.

You're correct of course although he'll be able to play the wide role in a 4-3-3 as well as being central behind a striker. He really is a wonderful player, just hope he settles easily enough. I thought Garrido being here would of helped him but alas, he has his own career to look after.

You're right but it would always be nice to have a compatriot around the place I think. Either way, he's easily the signing I'm most excited about, I watched him a good few times and i think he's superb.

I thought pace was one of his main attribute, but I think he comes into the mould Mancini seems to be looking for in most of his signings, the versatility, he can play both roles comfortably and can interchange during games making him harder to mark and read

i think he needs a free role to play in.
watching 3 or 4 valencia games last season he seemed to pop up everywhere in a very attacking line up.
Some people say he'll have to adapt to the pace of the English game but he was already playing at break-neck speed last season.

No he isnt really the quickest player, from what ive seen of him, but yeah i agree with what you say about his versatility
