David Silva

I know this comment won't go down very well, but silva frustrates me as a player. He needs to shoot more often, play the easier ball etc. So many times last season when he could do the easier pass or take a shot etc and he doesn't. Don't get me wrong, he is a brilliant player, but I do find him frustrating.

I wouldnt go anywhere near as saying he fustrates me as his plus points way out do any negative ones but, it's the one area of his game that he could improve on - i think this is a confidence thing as his goals seem to come in a flurry of games and then he reverts back.

While I dont think that will ever change, he's a stunning footballer who we are very lucky to have with us.

Read an article the other day that he did well in the recent friendly and they think he might start and play a big part for spain. Would love it if Dave smashes it!

He really is quite a unique person and player.

Ric posted an article about Merlin still having the same friends on Gran Canaria that he has always had, and that he goes back to the same house that he was brought up in when he holidays back home.

He truly is an artist at work. I doubt we will see the like of him in a City shirt for many a day.

There are many on this forum who believe that Yaya sits beside King Colin in the pantheon of the City greats.

I for one will always see Merlin in that position. If Colin is the King, then Merlin deserves the rightful place beside the throne.

Would love to see Silva boss the World Cup.
Would genuinely celebrate Silva scoring the goal to win the World Cup for Spain more than I would someone like Sturridge scoring the goal to win it for England.

I read his article in that yesterday. He says he has unfinished business with the World Cup as he only played 64 minutes for Spain in South Africa (60mins in the opening game, was subbed and just came on at the end of another game for 4 minutes).

When you think about how good he is, that's ridiculous...but Spain still won the WC!

He's been so good this season though, I reckon he'll play every minute they can afford to keep him on for without burning him out. Only Iniesta is better than Silva in the whole world of midfielders, for me.
