Two League titles, an FA Cup and League Cup with City. One World Cup and two European Championships with Spain. And he was instrumental in all

Yes, but apart from all of that what has he ever done?

His pass to Edin for the 6th goal at the swamp was over 5 yards also!
There's a Gif of it a few pages back, pure class.

You're entitled to your opinion but you're a mentalist.

I always get the feeling that Silva's place in the Spain team is under threat. I hope they don't scapegoat him and drop him for Fabregas/Mata/Cazorla/Koke. I wouldn't be surprised though... he always seems to get substituted.

always felt the same. seems like he's an outsider since he's not in one of the barca/madrid cliques.

Well Silva is a player who need to get the ball most of times with spain possession playing other players get most of the ball (iniesta, xavi, alonso...) and silva is not Navas or Pedro add to that his finishing so it becomes difficult to perform well in those conditions

Good the less he plays for Spain the better lol, unless he feels he has to move to Barca or Madrid to get a full time place

He was Spain's best player until the second half when they collapsed. Should have scored his main chance but that aside he was constantly winning the ball in dangerous areas and cutting out The Dutch momentum. It's a shame that the miss will be trotted out as a reason Spain didn't go on to win but Silva will cope with that. Hope he's not made the scapegoat but I get the feeling he will - as has been alluded to by others I get the feeling Del Bosque will drop him without a second thought whilst keeping Xavi and Iniesta in there.
