Sensible comment, much more sensible than the idea that he isn't good enough for a Pep team. I actually think that in a properly set/up and balanced team (I.e. not a Manuel 4 4 2) he will be excellent, and if we have Ferns, Gund, Sergio, Kelechi, Nolito, Sane, David, KDB, and another more defensive midfielder and Aube, or something along these lines, forgot Raheem and Navas and Samir as well, then there will be rotational options galore. Personally I still think Yaya might be in the mix as well for another 12 months. David will be a key player for at least 2 or 3 more seasons, I am sure of itThought he was excellent first half but faded in the second. All it showed me was that he's still going to be one of our most talented intelligent players, and rather than run him into the ground for 90 minutes twice a week we need to rotate him more. He's still going to unlock plenty of teams who just sit back on the end of their box.
He looks like he is playing more freely than he was with us last season. I noticed him contesting high balls far more. Can we put this down to his ankle problems being improved and him being in less pain Bluwhit? The assist to the assist. David in a nutshell.
Best City player ever.
Yet with the same players at City his form fluctuated. Ankle was a problemAlways plays better when playing with players who keep possession and move, so it's no surprise that Silva looks more comfortable now.
