Great game today.
The rest of the prem know thats the way to stop him and in turn stops the rest of the team,i think kev will get the same treatment next season as well,it was great to see dave playing like his old self againHe was rather good, wasn't he?
Question, though: why doesn't he get his ankle whacked over and over again in international games, as he does in most PL games? It's good, but odd that there should be that difference. He really does take a caning in our games.
He does, he took two big hits on the ankle in successive qualifiers last year.He was rather good, wasn't he?

I'm aware of that but in the PL it's every single game. The only conclusions I can draw are that a) Iniesta takes some of the heat off him by virtue of being the senior playmaker b) he gets more protection from refs in international matches. Players must know they're going to be carded pretty much straight away for tackles that go unpunished on David in the PL.
He should be moved to central midfield.
