David Villa........again!

ssn have just reported we ARE in talks over him.
i agree with an earlier post bellamy, robbie and villa would be in most fifa 09 teams but dont think we would have enough height. rsc would be better under current structure.

Would much rather have Eto than RSC, have not been following Rsc hows he doing at BBrn at the mo?

As UR28 said
i would love us to sign villa but i think the smart money would be on him joining barca and city do a gentleman,s agreement with them saying we won,t push the price up as long as they let us sign eto,o and henry for 30-40 millon would,nt be a bad second price would it

Would be great.

people ae saying that he'll go to barca or madrid

he loves valencia so much that he would not want to betray them by playing against them.

Its like ryan giggs going to arsenal!!!

he wont go to anyone in spain!NO WAY!!!

city diehard

As i said a month back this deal is not dead in the water, valencia came out and said he won't go to england and isn't even considering moving to the UK, well it's bollocks, it's only said to calm everyone down, SWP apparently wasn't leaving city and he signed a new contract, but less than 2 weeks later he was a chelsea player,

i believe this deal will come off and Villa will be our first signing of the summer, and because of this i think Kaka might come only if we get Villa though, if Kaka comes after Villa then i believe anyone in the world will come to us, apart from messi lol

has anyone gone to the airport yet to check if Tamargo has landed in his private jet before he is whisked to a Manchester hotel where Gina works?

How much do you reckon they want for Villa i am thinking about 75 million euro the amount they need in 12 weeks for me i think he is worth it.
come on owners we claim to be the richest club in the world now its time to flex them money muscles and blow barca and co out of the water

Don't get me wrong I think he would be a superb signing but in reality it ain't going to happen. People on here have already stated (and I agree with them) that the player himself doesn't object to a move but would prefer to stay in spain. If this is right, then the decision to come to us boils down to whether or not any other Spanish teams will bid for him. I don't think they necessarily will have to match our offer but the offer will have to be big enough to save valencia from their financial plight. Eg., If we agree 50m for him and Barca offer 35m providing the 35m is enough to solve valencias money problems they will do the deal with Barca. If we are the sole bidder for the player then it will be down to the player to decide whether or not he can play in the prem and the wages compensate for the fact he ain't playing in Spain.
