David Villa - Bad player or not?

For what its worth...

I think Barca have got David Villa at an absolute steal of a price, I think he is without question the most natural goalscorer in the world at the moment and has been for the past few seasons aswell.

His eye for goal in amazing, two footed and can work anywhere along the front line. In my opinion he is better than Torres and I would probably even take him over Messi in dream signings.

Messi
Villa
Tranny
Rooney(not including WC form)
Xavi(although he's not been brilliant in the WC either IMO)

How scary is it that 3 of those are at Barca? Plus Iniesta when fully back from injury and match fit would be knocking on the door of these 5! Plus they may get Fabregas who is surely not far behind either! My god they're a monster! :D

The reason for the question though is because he constantly pulls out onto the wing, so does this make him a bad player or lazy? Just wanted to know cos people say Ade is lazy and shit for the same reason.

I think I've slightly Clarkied here. You're not genuinely asking about the player but having a dig at those who don't rate Ade. I think when Ade does it as successfully as Villa no-one will mind. At present he's almost never in the box to win headers when the ball is crossed in and lets face it who else is going to win them? Bellers?, Tevez? SWP? It's not Ade's fault, but he needs to be told to stay put because he's not as effective out on the wing.

To qualify what I just said see how Spain struggled when Torres was out on the right wing all the time and no-one was in the centre against Portugal. When they took him off and brought on Llorente he stayed more central and the chances became more frequent and eventually they scored.

He doesn't pull out to the wing, He is forced to stay on the wing.

That's called tactics and making the pitch as large as you can so Spain can play their football.
