I find this very hard to believe but if it is true then that would be one of the best signings NYCFC could have made! He was one of the 3 best players in the CL final I thought and has had a handful of top level performances this year. He still has it. I would be surprised if Atletico were prepared to sell.

Would be an immense signing for NYCFC, I reckon he will stay at Atleti until the season starts though.

Huge statement of intent from @NYCFC if they manage to sign Villa. Still a terrific player at 32. Would surely score for fun in the MLS.
