Dayot Upamecano

True enough mate.

Although at least there are some who push against the attempts of Liverpool, United and Arsenal to return the League to their own personal plaything.

We’ve consistently refused their increasingly underhand attempts to force us back into ‘our place’, and both Sheffield United and Wolves (after a change of tactic no doubt driven by the stark realisation their own growth was being compromised by the interests of the old guard they had previously signed up to) do at least seem unwilling to dance to their tune.

There is literally no-one in the Bundesliga even half willing to put up a fight. Not a single club. It’s a pathetic shit show of a League. I genuinely don’t know why they bother!
Do you think Leipzig might start pushing them on transfers and such?

We will have a document probably 20 pages long on this lad, there must be a reason we are not going for him.

Leipzig have done so well in 11 years. However, it’s still inevitable. Before Werner went to Chelsea, he was also linked to Bayern. Has been for a while. Any German prospect or top talent in any of the other teams is a potential buy for Bayern.

Leipzig have tried to go against the order but no success. Dortmund, I thought would. They have a blueprint that helps them make money and also gives them the possibility of winning titles. Yet, if Bayern come calling, players are gone. If they could keep their ‘stars’ and win things, would it stop or reduce the beck and call approach of Bayern? Doesn’t seem likely to me.

Was brilliant last night. Really did impress me how he wasn't to be bullied around by Costa. At 21, the guy is a monster.

Got to be a long term option. Next summer I hear his release clause is 48 million. Peanuts in today's game for a young defender with potential and resale value.

The arrogance and smothering entitlement with which they treat the rest of the Bundelisga is genuinely sickening - like you say.

They essentially view the whole of German football as a resource to be exploited to serve their success - with the National team dancing to their tune (see the Sane transfer for ample evidence), and the rest of the League apparently perfectly willing to bend over and accept their subservience in support of the Ubermensch.

All sense of fight and professional pride seems to have gone from the rest of the Bundesliga - they’re little more than an interchangeable line of witless, grinning saps willing to accept their role in the pecking order without question. It’s genuinely pathetic to see it playing out.

Their league has been completely destroyed by that morally bankrupt, preening, bore of a club - the entire German football structure is essentially one big feeder for Bayern, and the fact they accept this so eagerly makes it the most pointless, contemptible, shambolic and frankly irrelevant league in the whole of European football.
Yeah but we keep being told its great because their season tickets only cost 50p a year and you also get free train and tram travel, overnight accommodation in the presidential suite and your choice of high level brass, limitless Colombian bugle and as many dwarf butlers as you want.
The downside being the fact it’s compulsory to wear a jeater hat and a sheepskin lined denim waistcoat covered in club patches
