Dayot Upamecano

I prefer him over Koulibaly due to his age and feel like Pep can mold him better.

I get that alot of people want a player like Koulibaly who might fit instantly, but we bought Ake, Torres and who knows else. The team will be transitioning with these new players anyways.

He did play well, esp first half. Unfortunately his team mates collapsed at crucial moments, and his slip cost a 3rd goal. Even tho by that time they had lost the game, he did perform OK and was their best player.

What did Eric do wrong ?
Couldn't run and Couldn't pass.
Cantering back with his hand in the air for 1st goal and intercepted pass for 2nd goal. Was poor. I know that he's been out for a long time and he will get back to his normal self again.
Against Spurs last year and again in this years quarter final he was poor. Not sure if its pressure and responsibility but he wasn't at his normal level in either

If we keep Eric Garcia, people really have to clarify when they criticize or praise one of them and just say Eric, could be either one without more details.

If tixi was smart he would get this guy instead of KK, but pep gets what he wants I guess before he leaves in 2 years or so

Too raw for being first choice but for the right price why not.
We need first choice would be the reason regardless of the price. We are now in with the big boys and so if we need to spend big to buy finished article players so be it. Hopefully academy throws a few Fodens our way too

Gave up the pass for the 2nd goal. Then was absolutely gash on the lead up to the 3rd. And those were just the most critical moment. Be was putrid in other moments that weren't critical to our demise.

That "he is too raw" claim is just a personal opinion. He is in the Champouns League Semi Finals and rated one of the best defenders in Germany.

He is NOT raw. It's like saying Aouor is raw. It's a silly claim. Talented CL Semifinalist. And a cog in his team's machine. Not a side piece. Young? Yes! Raw? Absofuckinglutely not!
And yet everyone wants Foden in the team every week?! Hypocrisy!

if you’re good enough, you’re old enough!
Oh, and he has more CL experience than virtually the entire City team he’d be joining!!

Not for me. Has been gash in most games since the re start. Surprised people put so much faith in one performance. Hope we don't sign him.

He’s just not that good, he’s ok as a backup but trust him for a season? Nope

I think most people are basing it on having watched him for nigh on a full season, albeit I accept some kids will check YouTube or watch one tackle and think “he’s better than anyone I’ve ever seen ever!”.

The lad is great, I’ve watched him for over a season now, he’s certainly not the finished product and it’s rare we ever buy anyone that is. He’s more than worth it, and if we don’t bring him in, a challenger will
