Dayot Upamecano

This lad started the season of badly, got injured and came back very well, a good player that is hard to beat, he stil makes mistakes but they should diminish with playing with a regular partner, we should have bought him in January, i did hope it was us who had tapped him up, not signing a new contract and all that, but he has signed now at such a strange time? I think he is going to Barca. and that leaves us with a few questions, what do we want, what does Pep want, what does Pep need and what does the Team need.
Dunk best in the air,best leader,English Upamecano, most time to adjust, Stones knows the squad, English, Koulibaly experience, Zakaria fastest, best with the ball,best this season. it all depends on those questions but if we play with the high back line next season, Zakaria is the only one who can do it.

He was and was probably the best box to box in Europe this season, but he moved back into the CB position and did a good job there, certainly better than Stones but the real thing is when Pep bought Stones he had a criteria that Zakaria fills better than every CB we have been linked with

I could spend hours dissecting the psychological factors that might inspire someone to post this but I don't have the time. So I'll do it quickly.

I can't tell if you're a pathological liar or you genuinely got the teams mixed up and thought the first black man you saw must've been Upamecano. Surely even if you believed Liverpool were playing Leipzig, you would have checked which one Upamecano is?

On a serious note, I don't think people are grasping just how hard it would be to get Upa out of Leipzig right after he signed a new deal. It would cost over £100m no doubt.

Completely agree. Would be really expensive. Still if we could manage it I think he could have the same impact as camel face did for the rags - years of solidarity. Maybe a saving in the long run. Koulibaly is bobbins and expensive and has a short shelf life. Just an opinion...

When did he move back there and why is he so good as CB
 
This is the bloke, not Koulibaly. Young, very talented, already playing at a high level, and still looks like he's got another gear to him.
