Days out with the kids..................(ideas please)

Good places I've been recently not been mentioned,Cheshire ice cream farm -free to get in,got some cows, kids play area, animal area, mini golf etc.Nice cafe and big ice cream shop too.Walton Hall is worth a visit in Warrington, big play area, mini zoo and crazy golf. Also went to Poole Cavern in Buxton yesterday, definitely worth a trip, tour takes around 40 minutes but there's a big picnic area to bring your own food and then a walk up to Soloman's temple giving fantastic views.Great day out. Also Smithills farm in Bolton is better than Stockley Farm by miles

My recent days out with the kids.

Took them to London for the weekend and had a ride around on the tube, did the tower bridge tour, took them along the south bank (had a swift pint), on to the imperial war museum (they surprisingly loved it although I wouldn't recommend the holocaust section for u14), over to Westminster to see big ben etc, down to buckingham palace then nipped into M&S to buy stuff for a picnic in hyde park. They really enjoyed it.

I'll be going again in a few weeks, hopefully go to the national history museum and take them to a show in the west end.

Took them to the lake district last month, dragged them up the langdales and did a couple of peaks, they hated it :)

Last week when it was sunny but windy, went to argos, paid £20 for a 1.4m kite and took them to the sand dunes between blackpool and lytham. Whole beach to ourself and they had a great day for £20 plus petrol money.

Next week I'll be taking them to their first big rock concert to see the foo fighters at milton keynes, should be an eye opener for them.

Live down south and London is great. Have they been on the Eye? (I know) I would recommend though because I think it's being taken down soon. Depending on your kids ages,I also recommend the Imperial War Museum or the Science Museum.

Go Ape is a great day out for those with older kids, not the cheapest but good fun!

They are dotted all over the country. Just been to one in Scotland that had a 430m zip wire that goes over a valley 150ft in the air!
