Days out with the kids..................(ideas please)

I know it might not be your thing but Horse racing a lot of places are doing a family day out and it is now in some places set up as a family venue. I went to a night meeting at Leopardstown with my brother his wife and 2 sons 1 is 12 the other 17 on the night there was a fun fair type and after the racing a music act the young lad loved as did the rest of us. The power of the horses and the speed is something else to see. Also most places will let kids in for little or nothing.

Join The National Trust, days out are sorted for a year..

We go all over the place, they have some fantastic places and it gets kids some exercise..

many thanks all. only one week left

this was a top idea for a thread which i believe has found a life of it's own. what started as ideas for you has actually become a tour guide for all of us. it gave me the idea to take the kids to conwy when we were in wales at the start of the month. it should run and run. i look forward to someone going to doncaster dome which i posted about on page 7 after a day out last week. one of the better threads on here (apart from the babes tournament) ;o)

took the brood to the science museum today and as always they loved it. as previously mentioned, a day at the races is usually a winner. you can drive the car into the middle of the track at many courses and take your own food/drink and there will be a funfair there.
