De Bruyne?

I'm pretty convinced that this transfer is dead if we really are after Pedro. Unless of course Navas is going to leave us. A great shame but if you don't pay the piper OR KDB isn't going to agitate for a move THEN it will be dead in the water.
How can you reach that conclusion if you've read the posts from Ric and Tolmie in the last few pages?
I'd be more inclined to believe their information as opposed to anything else coming out at the moment. All indications point to a deal being done sooner rather than later. The Pedro rumour is just that, a rumour whereas with KDB we're balls deep into trying to make the deal a goer.
People really need to start changing their mindset when it comes to City. We're no longer pretenders, we're at the top table and what we're aiming to achieve isn't as simple as some would believe. These next few years are going to define us as a club and everything we're doing is under a microscope. Luckily we have the very best of Staff from top to bottom and they deserve our trust and patience.
It's never been a better time to be a blue. Enjoy it.

@Ric @tolmie's hairdoo Do you have any information of this personal problems KDB has? I don't want you tell us, but I want to know if they will be solved in near future. I'm honestly concerned to spend 70Mio€ on a player who has problems, which seems to be so massive that he thinks about joining the fucking french league instead of the Premier League.

I don't, but I got the impression its a family issue rather than a personal "problem" as such. Don't think there's anything in today's PSG rumours though, regardless.

If I had to guess I'd say weeks, but I've been sat in the same position for an unknown amount of time occasionally taking breaks from this thread to twiddle my thumbs. The cat's possibly dead.

Don't worry, you can always create another thread for Smalling and Jones to replace Denayer and Mangala.

Rumours never existed, poster was WUMing.

Or I could just expend my energy creepily looking through someone's posts to try and find a snide comment to make without realising I don't have a fantastic grasp of sarcasm. Meh, thumb twiddling it is.

Looking through? As someone said "sad rag is sad".

Well hazarding a guess, to get your targets you sell the club as an employer to them. And if you start bawling 'you pay the fucking thing' then top players change their minds because you look an idiot.

None of us were party to what was agreed with the player back in spring, but I would assume that the way City are going about their business these days we are acting in a decent and fair manner to the guy and his agent, and honouring promises.

If I were to guess, we did a deal
On his personal terms months ago. A condition of it was that he talked to nobody else. Part of that will be that he didn't lose his bonuses, so City will be cooing in his agents ear, telling him to sit tight and wait for a deal to be done, as was agreed months ago.

Note the only party who wouldn't have been involved would be Wolfsburg who are just holding out for as much cash as they can, whilst we try to pay as little as we can. It's how business works.

I'm sure a deal will be done and I'm excited that he's the missing link. No more relying on Navas and Nasri.
That seems like a fair description of how the Sterling deal was done. Fingers crossed.
