De Bruyne?

They can't sustain that spending, they got their hands burnt with Tia Maria to try keep up with us and Chelsea. If they were serious about competing at the very top why aren't they in for de Bruyne and sterling instead of the shite they bought this window?

The players they have been in for, does suggest overspunking has taken place. DeBruyne would have been a great signing for them.

He will be a great signing for us ;) I was really quite against this when it was first mooted & have had a complete turnaround. Now I'm thinking it's potentially a bigger deal than Pogba, footballwise.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he does play, he is their player after all. I just meant it'd be interesting if he doesn't, as it would suggest a deal is imminent. I'm not going to panic if he is selected.

I agree, I wouldnt be surprised if he plays but if the rumours of him meeting with Wolfsburg last night are true and the 50mil has officially been put in, I think that meeting was De Bruyne's chance to push this deal over the line. in my opinion this is not going to get done unless he does his bit....if he didnt and told them he "happy" to stay, I dont think improving our bid again by a few million would be enough to change everyones mind.....genuine question, could that meeting between De bruyne and Wolfsburg last night have been a make or break meeting for this deal?....

I think so too, when you turn up with that much attacking talent to deal with. Actually mustering a shot on goal at the other end is quite a big ask. Pogba but could happen next year or someone else could emerge to solve that problem in January or summer 2016. I could see a return to the football of the season before last if we land de Bruyne but on an even better scale.

I think you are right. He will tell them he wants to go (off the record) & they will accept our bid. If he doesn't, it will all fall apart.

I think if a 50m bid went in, De Bruyne met and said he wants to stay Allofs would be shouting from the rooftops

hi everyone this is my first post. no prizes for guessing i am a post takeover fan a gloryhunter if you want to call it. but i never started to follow the club because i tought it might be successful but because of silva and aguero. but then the 93:20 turned me into a permanent gloryhunter. in the next 5 years we have grown at an astonishing pace and so it shall continue.

it has become an important signing, without doubt. very important we are seen as a club that carries out dealings in the right way and eventually get our man.

with KDB our front formation will have ALL opposition teams worried, whether in prem or chumps league. pogba was always a bit of a punt, i feel, to be fair i think we have handled everything in these two deals very professionally.
