De Bruyne?

I doubt we will try and fit Yaya into the same role as he had during his crazy season, he doesn't have the legs to cover the entire midfield anymore. Should Pogba arrive Yaya will be more subdued and sit back more often while he lets Pogba do a lot of his previous work, in that way Silva can be the central attacking midfielder while De Bruyne and Sterling will be wingers.

Excellent. I'd expect movement one way or the other on this in the coming days. Can't see City resting on their laurels after Sterling.
We also had Delph nearly tied up this weekend. Looks like we are striking hard and fast at out targets. Come on Kevin, sort your head out and get on the plane to Manchester.

He needs to realise that whist he may be happy in Germany, he's ultimately playing in a one team league. If he wants top level football and a competitive league then city should be his move.

I'm sure he does know this. He's showing loyalty to the club as Wolfsburg took him from Chelsea and have given him the chance he needed to show his credentials. Because of that he's shown loyalty and class in at least considering their improved contract and is still training for his own benefit until he makes a decision. I think we'll be signing him very shortly as I think it's inevitable he turns down their offer and moves to us, we will offer more than they do financially and football wise.

No news must be good news here surely? If he was in the process of tying up a deal with Wolfsburg, what on earth would have slowed it up, other than thinking very seriously, with his agent, about where else he might be going? Unless he's just bluffing them to get as much out of them as possible.
I find myself thinking — could be just wishful, I know — that there might be a domino effect here. Good players attract good players. We know this. Sure, we've paid over the odds for Sterling, by about £10 million (yes, I know, I don't have to be reminded that that money is not being directly debited from my bank account, I had noticed that. I'm a City supporter — what the club spends concerns me, whether it's for a stand extension or anything else), but I'd hope De Bruyne and Pogba would both look at that and say, this club really means business. They are going to do their damnedest to get that champion's title back, and they want to start making serious waves in the CL. Could just tip it. Personally, if we get even one out of Pogba or De Bruyne, I'll be thinking of one thing only — first match of the new season — even more feverishly than I have been since the final whistle against Southampton. It will have been our biggest summer since Sergio, and no mistake.
