Daily Star reporting that the rags have entered the race for him, lol.
Looking forward to seeing De Bruyne in a City shirt. Don't agree with those who say we're weaker than last season - him and Sterling improve us considerably, and could be here a long time given their age.
Defence and central midfield still a slight worry, but hopefully we'll just outscore opponents like in 2013/14.
Imagine that, that's the stuff legends are made of lol. Him coming in in the last 15 min when the team is down 2 goals, only to give an assist and then the winning goal. The media would never get enough of it.
But seems quite unlikely though :)
Quite right. I hope we never have to do business with the dippers again!People flapping around asking "why haven't we bid yet"? Why do we need to bid, officially, in public, for all to see. Surely the best way to deal with this, or any transfer, certainly if you're the buying club, is to get round a table and discuss a potential deal. City say "we're willing to put together a package worth £35m, when add ons etc are considered", Wolfsburg say "You'll have to do better than that, we're looking for a deal worth £50m", then City go away, discuss things, and come back with an improved position of £40m. Wolfsburg say it's still not good enough, City go away to discuss some more. And so on, and so on, over weeks of discussions, until we either reach a mutually beneficial agreement, or an impasse.
Quite why people expect us to call a press conference, or proclaim to a journalist "we've offered £35m for De Bruyne" is beyond me. These things only really hit the press when one of the parties involved leaks details. If City and Wolfsburg feel this is best done behind closed doors then the first we'll hear of this is when a conclusion, one way or the other, has been reached. This isn't a deal with Liverpool involved, who saw a benefit to destroying Sterling's reputation, and to putting us under pressure to bid more and more money.
For a laugh I'm going to throw in this atom bomb of a question.
Will United try and hijack our De Bruyne transfer with the Dia Maria money?
Boom!
